This would explain his lack of appetite and increased exploration of his cage. He is looking for a mate. One of my longer term chondros never refused a meal until his third or fourth year. He went crazy breeding a female for a few months, and started eating again around the time she laid her eggs. If your snake is healthy and has good weight, he will be fine for several months.
