Theft Alert! On Saturday September 20, 2003 persons of questionable moral character entered our home uninvited and removed Kali, a high yellow Varanus salvator/Water monitor from her home against her will. Kali is a working professional & embassador with special characteristics. She goes to the schools to help educate children and adults about reptiles. Kali is an adult, 52 inches long. She is a special color sport being crayon yellow with black rosette patterns dorsally and very pale blue fading to white/pink on her belly. She is missing the distal 4 inches of her tail and the end looks stumpy. Kali is a rescue. Her former owners thought she was real cool to own but burdensome to provide for. We rescued her. She does not deserve to be forced into substandard, unsuitable living conditions again. Kali is the star of our education programs. Her beauty makes some impact and her calm, accomodating temperment helps people be more comfortable about reptiles, and creepy, scary, crawly creatures. Kali is a member of our family and WE WANT HER BACK. She has a health condition that makes her unsuitable for breeding. We beleive that due to her unique attractiveness that dealers, breeders or collectors would be interested in her. We are asking anyone who might have any useful information to contact us via this forum & or call the ANACONDA POLICE DEPARTMENT IN MONTANA @ (406)563.5412 Thank you very much.
