I usually tend to have a few locking smaller rubbermaids in my vehicle as we as extra bags. In cooler weather, I will often bag snakes in the building and place them in a transport bag. Gives a bit of resistance to wind. You can also use insulated shipping boxes as a way to move the animals as well if weather is particularly bad.
