No snake "enjoys" being handled. Don't misconstrue a lack of biting as enjoyment. handling equals internal stress..period..whether manifested outwardly or not. Also, personification--equating human emotions to non-human animals is a dangerous path to go down. Once in that mode one can easily attribute "emotions" to what are merely behavioral reactions to the stimuli you've exposed the animal to. Safe bet no snakes enjoy going for rides either.

Whatever happened to the Texas Rat you wrote that novella about a few months back?
