I have always kept my D. polylepis and D. angusticeps @ around 80-84 degrees F daytime temp. and night time temp of about 78-80 degrees F. I am cooling the rest of my collection in my hot room this winter where the mambas are for a Naja kaouthia breeding attempt.I plan about 6-8weeks daytime highs of about 70-76 F with night time lows of about 64-70 F. My female green mamba and 1 of my female black mamba's are still in quite the feeding frenzy mode, however. I would like to ask the fellow Dendroaspis keepers here if this would be too cool an ambient temp. range for safe digestion for say maybe an adult mouse or small rat every 2-3 weeks or so? Just enough so that they don't try to eat me quite as bad.I don't know how cool you can keep them because I normally keep the warm and feed every 5-7 days and never had a reason to cool them before until I was ready to breed them.
