I just found this in Wikipedia. Apparently there is a cross genus hybrid iguana that occurs naturally in the Galapagos where the Marine Iguana and the (Amblyrhynchus cristatus) Land Iguana Conolophus subcristatus)over lap on South Plaza Island.

The biggest challenge would seem to be the difference in the breeding seasons of the Cyclura and Iguana. However, in the presence of my Cyclura female, Mayan (my green)'s mating seasons got longer and longer each year.
