How old are they? If they're juveniles, I wouldn't expect them to be slowing down too much, but when they reach adult size, their appetites will probably decrease some, as they don't need to put energy (calories) into growth anymore. It's common for adults to fast during the colder months, but juveniles are still trying to grow, so they typically keep eating.

You say they've lost weight; have you been weighing them so that you know how much? If they're adults and we're talking a few grams, it's probably no big deal. If they're juveniles and/or we're talking tens of grams, I'd be worried.
