I have an iguana that hurt its tail tip and within a couple days about 3 mm or so of the tail turned black. I did the standard betadine iodine neosporin thing. I know if it spreads it may need to be amputated. If it does not spread then it means no infection and will dry off and fall off itself.

Well, it has NOT spread at all after the initial two days. It has been almost 7 weeks and has stayed the same, I know this for sure as I have measured and also counted scales from the last black band to tip and it has stayed exactly the same, with no spreading. However, the black part has NOT falled off itself. It just stays like that. Should I just leave it alone?
