As you couldn't pull it out with pliers...I expect it is more likely a prolapse...either part of the uterus or some other thing that should be inside. Without seeing a vet, its not likely she will be fine as things are. If you want to wait a day to see if it is just something she will get rid of herself, without any harm, or not..you can but most likely its a prolapse.
