Everytime my leo sheds he leaves skin on his toes, he has already lost 1 toe due to circulation being cut off last year.

Ive gone to the vet and he said its a genetic thing.

Ive also tried soaking in water and trying to manually remove the skin myself, but my leo doesnt liek that and ive been bit 2 times. Both drawn blood. The attempts to remove the skin were semi-successful. Also have tried mineral oil.

What can i do to get the skin toes off? I dont want him losing anymore toes. I already have a moist hide.
