How do you tell if your Crested Gecko is too thin or too fat? It seems they all have the same general "chubby" look to them no matter what, though I have little experience with them.
In some other species (such as Uromastyx) you look at the pelvic region for this information. Bony... too thin; plump... just right. Is it the same in Cresties? I ask because my female adult seems to have a bonier pelvic bone region than my male. She weighs 40 grams (with tail), which I hear is average... but I just want to know whether I need to take action regarding this.
I tried to check the calcium sacs in her mouth, but only was able to get a quick glance. Definitely noticeable, but not sure of how big they are supposed to be anyway.
They are both being fed Clark's Gecko diet.
Appreciate any information you have! ----- Aubrey Ross
