Greetings,

I recently added a parrot snake to my collection and am looking for some more information on their care in captivity. haven't had much luck, including from asking the owners of this particular pet store.
I know the basics of the species, where its from, diet, general behavior but, am looking for some specifics on terrarium climate (temps, humidity, etc) from anyone else that keeps these awesome snakes. I am winging it now, have her in a tall 35"x24"x18" terrarium (one of the Zoo Med ones with the front opening doors).
Using a 75w ceramic heat emitter and humidifier rigged with some PVC on a timer and have the humidity in the 60-65% range. The temp I am still trying to get right and im adding a heat mat rheostat on the bottom since she spends most of her time under her hide log (the heat emitter is only really getting the top layer of the tank to 80 degrees anyway.
Also curious about drinking habits i.e., i recall some arboreal snakes wont take water from a dish but rather water that collects on leaves, etc. I positioned the humidifer so the excess condensation drips down the leaves of the fake plants in to the water dish just in case.
She's of course a bit nippy until I get her out, then she's as gentle as can be... so far ;p
Anyway, any info from experienced keepers is certainly appreciated.
I tried to add a photo of the snake and her habitat
