These Drymobius are restricted to a very small range all the way south in Texas, mostly in a wildlife sanctuary! .. plus they are a protected species. But the people that run the place are not anti-herper and as long as you go there and obey the rules HANDS OFF, NO FLIPPING, NO OFF TRAIL ACTION then you'll be ok.

Unfortunately a few people have come in thinking the rules are not for them and it's caused some trouble.

Anyway, it's possible to get detailed photos of these without disturbing them.
