Python Breeder Making a Killing in Norfolk, Neb.

He wasn't always so brave.

Travis Kubes, a Python breeder from Norfolk, Nebraska, says, "About ten years ago I got myself a snake and I kinda had the fears like everybody else."

But it wasn't long before Travis Kubes from Norfolk, fell in love with their beauty.

"Literally hundreds of different colors and patterns out there, there's orange one's, solid white one's with no pattern at all."

Now a Python breeder, he's doing what he loves and making a killing.

Kubes says, "Anywhere from $100 – upwards of $10,000. I've seen $60–70,000 handed over for one snake."

But that doesn't mean he sells to anyone.

"If they just want a showpiece to show off to their buddies at a party, that's not what I'm looking for. I'm looking for people that have a true passion for these animals."

Because while they're not aggressive creatures, they do demand respect.
