Nice to see someone close by posting field herping pics! I live in Conover and have spent a good deal of time at Riverbend on the other side of the county. Please continue to share what you find. So far, I have found the following in Catawba county and the adjacent counties:

Eastern Kings
Mole Kings
Corns
Scarlet snakes
Timber Rattlesnakes
Copperheads
Hognose
Black Rat Snakes
Black Racers
Eastern Garters
DeKay's
Redbellies
Smooth Earth
Rough Earth
Ringnecks
Southeastern Crowned Snakes
Worm Snakes
Rough Green Snakes
Northern Water Snakes

I believe the only possible snakes I'm missing are scarlet kings, eastern milks, and possibly pigmy rattlesnakes if there is still a population in southern Gaston Co.

Please stay in touch. Nice to see someone else out here in the NC foothills on ks!

Thanks,
Michael
