>>I have what I strongly believe is a male plains garter. He he behaving strangely in that he will not eat. Now I know if it breeding season for most snakes but he acts hungry comes out as he is looking for food when I approach the tank but when food is offered he ignores it. So far he has refused salmon and earthworms which he normally consumes with gusto! Is the simply a breeding season issue? He was a rescue so I don't have much experience with garters.
>> If hes healthy don't panic he will come around.
>>Thanks,
