carpen python sores?

I went today to check on a friends snakes while he was out of town, and we have a question about these sores that are showing up only on the carpet pythons. there are no problems with any other kind of snake, and there are many there. Anyways 3 of his carpet pythons have been getting sores on them none are housed together. the cages are even several feet away from each other. anyone have any clue what is affecting them and why it is only the carpets.
