I feed my babies every day up until they are two years old. That's when I put them outside in the turtle garden. Then I feed them twice a week and the rest of the days they are eating worms, and other things they find in the garden. I have strawberries and blueberries that they will sit under and feed on too. Before then then spend the warm days of Summer in a planted Christmas Tree storage bin, and get fet every day.
