I have tried Vines on a couple of occasions. A large pair and a smaller pair.

The smaller animals took live fish from the water bowl, after a few such feedsI tried hopper mice. The mice were taken readily.

With the larger animals, only one would take fish. I bought some feeder house geckos, which were readily taken. I set the feeder geckos up within sight of the Vines( I hadn't considered the great eyesight of Vines). When I went to feed the Vines I noted that they were particularly alert...so I tried a mouse. .taken straight away! I was suprised how quickly mice succumb to the venom!

I may have just been lucky getting my animals to take mice.

As nearly all Vines are wild caught expect losses due to high parasite loads.

If your lucky to get healthy strong specimens Vines make stunning display animals.

Cheers

Mark
