They are very much sexible now, and a male and a female can be left in the same tank together, you just can't keep two males in a tank together. I is better to keep two females too one male in a tank, and that way the male isn't pestering just one female all the time.

But there is also another theory, that you might not want the female to get pregnant until she is older in age.
