I'm not familiar with this species, but I do know the Egyptians are eat exclusively veggies. With you Uromastyx it's better to get a captive bred one or a wild specimen that has been well acclimated to captivity. They sell acclimated wild specimens and captive bred ones at Deer Fern Farms. Uromastyx are sensitive to errors in captivity than a lot of lizards, so getting a captive one or ones that has been well established in captivity is a good idea. I hear the Mali and Egyptians are probably the least difficult to keep of all the Uro species. They love it if you can provide with really hot basking spot and dry cage with plenty room for thermoregulation. They like it if you cool down the cage a little at night and at winter time.
