Since this is my first successful hatching of carpondros I can't really comment on size and behavior just yet. I can say the size of the babies is typical for carpets (about 20-22 grams) and about twice the weight and mass of chondro babies (about 10-12 grams).

So far about half of the perch and the others seem more comfortable on the cage floor. They also seem to carry the defensive characteristics of carpets and are not hesitant to bite....not typical of baby chondros. The adults were a highland x biak male with a nice blue cast and a small female carpet. I have female chondros that dwarf the female carpet.

I'll be posting progress pics as they grow and begin changing. If you haven't seen the chondro x carpondro breedings you should check them out. They have some crazy blue banding!

Thanks again!
