I got 3 good kingsnake clutches so far this year, may have 1-2 more coming out.
But I've gotten 2 dud clutches off my house snakes (one from each female I bred). I'm talking NASTY; the eggs were black and red and felt...I don't know how to say it, slimy/squishy? Both clutches were laid 60-70 days after copulation.
2 pair, 2 bad eggs...I'm not sure WTH I did wrong. I'll try again next year but DAMN. Don't know if I need to cycle them? Not to cold temps in the 50s, but maybe to coolish room temp (low 70s/high 60s?). I burmated my kings but everything I read said house snakes didn't need it and were dead easy to breed. ----- We wouldn't have 6 and a half billion people if you had to be beautiful to get laid. 1.3 African House Snakes 3.2 reticulated pythons 1 corn snake 4.3 Florida Kings 2 speckled kings 1.2 ball pythons 1 Argentine boa 1 Texas Rat Snake 1 checkered garter snake
