Uros and humidity

Hi, I'm looking to get back into having Uros. I used to breed them years ago and am surprised that husbandry practices haven't improved since.
I still see most using dried out habitats with no moist hides or deep substrate for hydrating.
Just looking to get some feedback on this topic.
