I have had kenyans breed just about any month of the year with or without a cooling down period.

Currently, I cool them down slightly (Oct-Jan) heat turned down to approx. 90F compared to the normal 100F. With the room temp around 68F (winter) compared to around 72-78F (summer).

Males can breed around 40-50 grams. The larger the female the better (200g plus). I leave males in for approx. 2-3 weeks (usually if they are interested, you will see action pretty quick).

Cheers,
Chris
