I work at an Environmental Ed center and we have quite a large collection of herps. I have been guesstimating how much to feed each individual animals by looking at their body mass, age and appetite and appearance. For some of my turtles I could put food in front of them all day long and they would continue to eat and eat. I want to make sure all my animals stay at a healthy weight and we are not overfeeding.
