Dan,

That was an awesome post, man. It always sucks to see the turtles getting run over by vehicles. I was, fortunately, able to help a box turtle cross a highway on the way back from finding that rattlesnake I saw last Monday. It always feels good to see one get across the road successfully! As for the hognose, I'm a little jealous of the find, LOL. I've been looking for a live specimen for years! Today, I'm going to an area where I've seen a few roadkill specimens over the years, so hopefully luck will be with me.

I guess rattlesnakes seem to be much more common where you are. Here, on the East Coast, they are a special treat that you usually have to go deep into the woods to find.

The porcupine was awesome looking too.

That hognose was drooling like a St. Bernard, LOL!

Justin
