Salt in dwarf caiman tank

I have a young paleosuchus palpebrosus 2-3 years old. Recently I noticed planaria swimming around in her tank. I had it once before in my florida snapping turtle tank and I just added some salt in the tank and it cleared right up. Wonering if I can do the same with my caiman?
