Hatchling Size Comparison

Pictured are a 2 week old Coastal animal and a Kern intergrade literally 30 minutes out of the egg. I'm amazed at the size difference! 'Course the sire of the latter is well over 3' and has been regarded by more than one as one of the biggest Zonata they'd ever seen...adult mice don't make a bulge in him at all.

Unfortunately my eyes are going to the point I have to go get one of those mounted magnifying glasses in order to pop the Coastals...they are just soo teensy. The Kern animals (13) were incubated at very low temps. per Mitch Mulk's parameters. All look incredible..especially when compared to the parents..both of which have high incidences of black crossovers.
