Regardless of what you might have read, heard, or my have been told, neither "nuclear" nor "Dodoma flame" are simple recessive, or co-dominant traits. Nuclear is a line-bred trait that has been selected over many many generations for really high orange color. Dodoma on the other hand is a locality that naturally produces animals with reduced patterns, little tipping and clean colors (both yellow and orange).
