You don't really need to cool your Coleonyx at all. I used to cool mine, but lost one in the initial stages so I stopped. I actually have the opposite problem - can't get them to stop. You can read about my C.v.'s breeding exploits here:

Incidentally, I also have an anery male who's bred to a non-anery female. The anery seems to dominate. I've produced more than 30 offspring from this pair and they are all white to very pale yellow.
