We've gone to the "Hamburg" show for years, and have been amazed that no one has been bitten there (that we know about) as some of the dealers are rather careless. But we go because they DO sell "hots."
I think the reason "dangerous animals" are getting so much publicity is due to that nut job in Ohio that let all his big cats and bears loose.
I firmly believe that if you are going to sell a "hot" animal, you'd better know the people you're selling to, and their expertise, or at least have someone vouch for them. That being said, there are nut cases in every state that just "want a rattlesnake" because they think it's cool, nevermind what happens if you get bit.
That being said, there are a lot of people who are much more than hobbyists, who are also too careless and giving us all a bad name. Let's hope this blows over...
