I recently rescued a Florida King. Not sure of the age or gender, but it's about 2 feet long. He came to me with impaction, dehydration, an infection in the vent and undernourishment. We've gotten the impaction, infection, and hydration covered, and while he's looking far more robust, he's still taking literally ANY prey I offer.
My general schedule for his size would be two mice 2/3 his girth every 12 to 14 days, but he just seems ravenous! I'm afraid to overfeed, but he's still looking skinny and remains very active, even after a meal.
Any suggestions on how large and often I should be feeding him? I've never taken in a snake in such bad shape and he's really looking better, but I don't want to make a mistake now and set him back.
