Wild strain yellow ratsnakes. Top pic is one of the two most extreme yellow hatchlings at six months old. Second pic is the mother. Bottom pic is a pile of holdback candidates from the clutch, meant to show some of the color variation but by the time I took the shot they all looked pretty close in color. If you look closely at about the six o'clock position in the pile of snakes, you can see a bit of one of the darker ones under its siblings. There is quite a bit of variation in color at hatching, but the extreme yellow holdbacks are the most intense I've seen.
