Posted by: BlueKing at Fri Feb 24 10:14:45 2012 [ Report Abuse ] [ Email Message ] [ Show All Posts by BlueKing ] Sorry for not being around...I am STILL in Afghanistan but I have been moved AGAIN to a crappy location and have lost my good internet. Now all I have is turtlenet... But I am still alive and all the Golden corns are doing very well - except one:...Sad news: The Original Golden corn has passed away this winter... She did not fatten up like all the others and began to eat less and less late last year. I could tell she was getting older the last few years as here colors started to fade and more black was showing up where here bright blotches were. I never knew how old she was, since she was found as an adult back in 2004, but at least she was around long enough to produce some offspring for me. As I said the rest of the corns are doing VERY well, some I even had to put on a diet last year, as they were getting a little obese. They are still hibernating for a few more weeks....
