Have had my Marine Toad for around 3 years and nothing like this has ever happened. I am very worried about him.

Several days ago he looks very dry and he was out of his water bowl, so I poured some clean water in there and then he seemed fine.

Then a couple days ago I noticed his poison stuff coming out of his back. He's never done that before or if he has, it wasn't in such high ammounts (it was visible and white)

I decided to clean out his cage entirely and start fresh, so that maybe that would help him out. Now he is sitting on the small ledge of his water bowl, like he doesn't want to get in it, and he's just been sitting there all night. It doesn't look comfortable at all. He's like... scrunched up on the edge like he doesn't want to get in the water, but there is plenty of room on the other side of the dish.

Why is he behaving like this? I have no idea how old he was when I got him, because he was a gift. He has been this same size the entire time so I assume he was an adult... could he just be getting old and ready to die? Or is there something I'm doing wrong?
