Oh thank you so much for the input! Yesterday while taking a nap I heard him running around his cage obviously very busy in there, and he did eat the lettuce. He still hides in his rock when I am in the same room or if he hears any noise but I think we are making improvement.

Thanks again I appreciate the advise!
