>>OK, I lied a little. But the room is slow so I thought I'd post this. Our dog for over 15 years died a few months ago. I realized this was the first time since I was 7 that I did not have a dog. So Mil (the wife) and I headed to one of our local shelters. We saw this dog shivering in her cage. They told us she was abused and extremely shy and only semi trusts one lady at the shelter. At the shelter they put her in a room with us for 15 minutes and she just paced back and forth, slowly coming closer to us each time. Then she finally let my wife pet for a brief second. That was it, it just broke our hearts. I told the lady we had enough time with her. She said, ok, I understand let me find another. I said,, OH NO NO, we want her. I guess many people came in to see her but because she's so shy they turned her down. >> >>Although she is still very shy she has really begin to trust my wife. Me too, just not as much. Plus we have never had a hound, let alone a tree walker. They are just different. There is a nice article in wiki. I'm still looking for good resources on them. >> >>So, top pic is the picture that was on line. Bottom after 2 days we got her to sit on our couch. The lady at the shelter could not believe she got on our couch and will nap there. Still a long way to go, but she shows signs of improving >> >> >> >> >>----- >>Thanks for reading. >>Tom >> >>www.HerpZillA.com >>HerpChat
