But my main interest has always been boas and pythons of which I have kept all of my life. As for recommending a snake I usually say to go with a common BCI boa also called the Colombian boa. The males don't get too large and these snakes are interesting and appear to actually enjoy being handled. The Hog Island boa locale is a good choice as they tend to be an even smaller boa.
