I could almost buy into a theory that an intergrade zone starts south of the Mogollon Rim. Rich Gassaway once had a great post where he said something like that in SE AZ maybe 10% of the pyros were showing the knoblochi phenotype, and as you go south that percentage increases. When you get into the heart of knoblochi country, about 10% of the animals show the pyro pyro phenotype.
