What Gerard said,
and I will add, that I am not sure if the patterns reduce as the animal matures, the pair with me is from 2010, and the amount of patterning hasn't changed yet.
I won't know much more about that, or how the trait passes on to offspring for several more years.
Hopefully around 2018-2020 time frame we will start seeing 2nd gen offspring from the bloodline.
the original animal in the photo above made it to a prominent breeder of mollendorffi in Colorado in the 90's from my understanding, and I am not sure if that particular animal is still alive today.
I should also state that all this is 2nd hand info, so I may be missing some of the details.
