Moving from San Diego to NW GA... I really don't have a clue. Those bins are getting pretty small for the Aldabras.

Yea... I don't know what's involved in taking care of tortoises outdoors.

>>I played along with you but you have no idea what it takes to rear tortoises outside. Year before last we had 12 days of freezing weather here in jacksonville,Fl. Did my Redfoots and Elongated come in the house...No way. I have them set up with thermostats including a 250 watt infra-red in each hut and a 150W ceramic incase the infrared-blows. I have females that lay in winter and it is not uncommon to check on them in the afternoon to find one dug in laying eggs. Sometimes it's midnight and in the 30's when she finishes so of course I've had to provide warmth for her during the process and direct her to her hut when finished. Just throw them outdoors and mine would die. Redfoots don't hybernate and neither do elongateds so its collard greens, mustard greens, Romaine, cantelope etc and the ocassional X breeder mice and mazuri through out the year. Thats not to mention the Dog required to protect the torts from racoons, possums, squirrels and rats. So EJ even if you could find work in Florida you better choose South Florida and stay away from North East Fl because you would be working Two Jobs! Your career and the Job of taking care of a heard of Tortoises....But wait you do most of your tortoise keeping indoors I forgot.......So as Paul Harvey says.....You know the news "so here is the rest of the story" Richard
