Getting them too hot is one factor that will cause them to regurge but not always. Some just puke n I dont care what any quack cries otherwise. I think its like some other animals puke hair n bones back up personally.......sue me....

Got about thirty these lizards I've raised from hatchlings or hatched....I've had a couple lizards that are parasite free with really weak stomachs....I've lowered temps, smaller meals ,less stress ya name it n they still puke once in a while....most out grew it n this is a fact....Every chronic puker I've had was a girl eventually too males are tanks n got wild Gi systems....
.....I got two lizards that puke once in a while n eat a lot less than average even though they are parasite free n healthy....they are just small animals n grow slower.....imho I dont think most gilas eat as solid of meals near as often as in captivity. I've noticed they have insane stomach acids too. How otherwise can a lizard vomit up a pile of hair n bones 48 hous after it eats......I dont wait a week after one these lizards pukes either but I noticed they very rarely puke twice in a row either.....hmmmmnnnn just my opinion though, I respect anyone elses too.
