My mother was working at a plant one night and she found this snake picked it up and brought it home. I'm completely lost on what species it is. We are located in New Mexico its a total dessert landscape. Its a light brown body color with like dark chocolate spots. It seems very calm does not attack just runs away when your near it its about 12 to 14 inches long.
