If the male is three years old he should be able to breed but I would be sure that the females belly is filled to capacity before putting a snack sized snake in with her. Mine have been pretty shy breeders, only breeding in the night. I will tell you that mussurana males produce copious amounts of semen that stain shredded aspen bright yellow so it is easy to tell in the morning if there was breeding.
