In my own experience the dumereli is the more calm and tractible of the two. However in my opinion rudicollis is by far the more awesome. Mind you they do have a rather more demanding set of husbandry needs. Some are very shy flighty and high strung making them a.challenge to accllmate and sustain. With these individuals just plan on not seeing them too often for if the cage is suitably appointed with hidespots cover.and deep substrate they will quite often make full use of them disappearing for what.seems like.forever. At least you get to hear them run for cover when you enter the room! Of course they arent all like that. Once settled in and comfortable they can be amazing creatures to observe and interact with. Most rudicollis i ve encountered were never too keen on much handling though i ve only had one that tried to kill me on an ongoing basis that was a scary lizard as these guys are quick agile and surprisingly intelligent so if ya get an evil one it will be diabolically clever... I must confess my experience with dumereli's is limited to but a few.... i hope this helps a little....m

Guy
