I have recently decided to begin keeping snakes again. To safe space, I decided to use breeder racks. The rack uses (6) 32qt tubs sideways in the racks. The heating is done by a single 4" wide Flexwatt tape that begins with the bottom rack and snakes up to the top rack (under belly). As the length of the tape increases it seems that the heat generated is less (the lower racks are warmer then the top rack). The probe is currently on the third rack from the top. Would it be feasible to cut the Flexwatt so each shelf has its own individual heat source?
