I never got into the thought process of calling something a locale, when they are simply not. What is being called " Okeetee " phase these days is what people THINK Okeetees should look like. Many specimens have been found with the thick, black borders, high orange, etc, but also, many come out of that locality looking very dirty, and ugly as well. You can even find ones that don't even originate near that locality, but look like what some are calling " Okeetee " corns. HA HA!!!

Oh well..marketing is all it is.
