When they are growing I feed them as much as they want about every ten days. I just raise mice, no rats. I feed live until the mice can nip, then pre-kill. Generally I feed slightly smaller but multiple items at a feeding, which the snakes find easier to consume than just one humongous item they would have to struggle with.
Rozy is sort of a freak in my snake family, the only other really huge snake for its species being Gonzo the '08 Pacific who is 1314 grams and about five feet long and also loves to eat.
I also have an '08 pyro female who is 416 grams and about 42 inches long, another one who loves to eat. The polar opposite is Bitzi, a '10 pyro female who only weighs 26 grams, but is healthy non the less. She is not a big eater, obviously! ----- Bob Pyromaniac AKA Greatballzofire Keeping cats allows man to cohabitate with tigers. Keeping reptiles allows man to cohabitate with dinosaurs.
