Hello all, I am a new member to this forum. I've had turtles of one kind or another my whole life, and currently have several various aquatic turtles. My question is about my baby Diamondback Terrapin, Salty. He is approximately six months old, and seems to bea normal healthy DBT. My one problem is how picky he is on food. I have yet to find a commercial diet he will even taste, much eat on a regular basis. (And that is including the ones that were at a recent Repticon show, where I purchased samples of everything I could find.) Every one so far has resulted in a dirty look from Salty and a mess in his tank. I bought small feeder fish, which are now his playmates. The only thing I can find that he will eat are shrimp (people food), phoenix worms, and mealworms. Salty seems healthy, he's growing, eating, and his shell looks good (no deformities and not soft) All in all he seems fine, he has about doubled in size since I got him as a hatchling last September. Should I leave well enough alone, and continue or should continue to try other things?? Any help would be greatly appreciated. He is the first baby DBT I've had, all others I've ever had were larger, and would eat anything. Thanks!!
